
Cougars Continue Strong OCAA Curling Championship

Mixed Doubles
Sault-1 defeated the Durham Lords (0-3) 11-6. The Cougars led 2-0 after two ends, but Durham grabbed the lead in the third with three points. Sault-1 responded with a four-point fourth end to take a 6-3 lead. Durham added one in the fifth, but Sault-1 scored four more in the sixth, and despite Durham's two-point seventh, Sault-1 added one in the eighth for the win.
Sault-2 also dominated, defeating the Humber Hawks (1-2) 11-4. After a 2-2 tie after three ends, Sault-2 took a lead in the fourth with one point. Humber answered with a 4-3 advantage after five, but the Cougars took control, scoring four points each in the sixth and seventh to secure the win.
Men's Curling
In Men's action, the Cougars opened with a match against Mohawk. The Mountaineers took an 8-0 lead after three ends. Sault College managed to score one in the fourth, but conceded after to give Mohawk the win by a score of 8-1. In their second match of the day, the Cougars would face Fanshawe College and would waste no time making up for their mistakes in the earlier draw. The Cougars jumped out to a 6-0 lead after four ends, and cruised to an 11-1 victory.
